Travel, technology, and global consumption define modern life. Sustainability often asks people to limit these habits. Is it realistic to expect people to change deeply ingrained lifestyles? Where should compromise happen?

I think it can, because modern lifestyles often prioritize convenience, speed, and consumption. Sustainable living asks for conscious choices like reducing waste, energy use, or travel, which can feel restrictive. But with planning, innovation, and gradual habit changes, sustainability can integrate without fully sacrificing modern comfort.

I was charging my phone with a power bank during a blackout and this question just came to mind. Modern life needs speed and a sustainable life needs patience. In that case , there would be a clash. So, I think balance is possible but pretending there’s no conflict is lying to ourselves.
