Have you guys ever been out with someone who's not from the same ethnic group? Does being different ever put you off? Would you tell someone you are not interested just coz of their nationality?

No, it dosen't matter and yes I've been out with people of different nationalities, I am married to an Aussie. I have been out with black girls before, not being racist but they don't physically turn me on like other girls, thats just a matter of taste I guess. Chinese girls are a bit turn on for me however. I guess at the end of the day it's personality which really counts.:)

Well, since how someone's environment as a child could affect their personality, nationality can matter a bit. I hate to say it, but some stereotypes, although exagerated, can be true. But of course, I judge on personality, never nationality alone.

This is true. We live in such a PC world these days that you get blasted as racist for pointing things like this out, when I was going out with a black girl her tastes were so alien to me it wasn't going to work. I'm sure there are some black chicks into punk, indie and British culture but I've, in my wide experience of these things, met none of them.

No way does nationality matter, my missus is a Spaniard and I would never go out with a British girl again.

Foreign relationships are a lot more interesting and a lot more fun. It's great, my missus mum and dad can't communicate with me, I just smile and wave!

Using examples. I've hung around with african americans, and I enjoyed the comedy that they brought. But as far as dating an afr. american woman. I don't know if I'd ever want to do that.

My parents would have absolutely no problems with it, I'd have no problems with it either, but it's just in my taste that would make me not do it.

It's hard to explain.

I agree with Homer, I'm not racist but black women just don't do it for me in the same way as other women do. I have had a relationship with a black girl but culturly and looks wise she wasn't too good for me even though most blokes found her stunning. I just don't find that many black women that good looking to my taste and they generally, through culture, tend to be into different things to me. I am friends with black people but I never seem to be that in touch with them because of our differences, let alone finding one who would be my soul mate. I don't judge people by their colour or race but there are incompatable differences. I think I probably ended up with an Aussie girl because in a lot of ways by personality has a lot of compatibility with their culture, I'm very straight up, laid back and hate snobbishness.

Everyone has their own tastes in women, but Peter you must agree about English women - they are worse than english men for drinking and starting fights!

The English women now are a complete embarrassment and they are not lady like what so ever - (in general - just in case there are women from the UK here).

We do seem to have a drinking and fighting culture that goes back years that affects both men and women. I don't know what it is. Most Europeans can have pubs open 24/7 and they don't feel the need to constantly get drunk and when they do they are more likely to start kissing and cuddling you than they are to fight you. But put an English person in that situation though and they will more than likely be getting pissed all the time and wanting to fight everyone!
