To be honest, I don’t fully trust online reviews. Many years ago I joined a Bitcoin cloud mining platform after reading a lot of positive reviews across multiple platforms including social media platforms. However, before I could withdraw, the program turned to be a scam.

Actually, a lot of people and websites hire people to do fake reviews. You should never trust these online reviews, even when they are social proof.

Some online reviews are not trustworthy. You must search and read more of the reviews from other platforms to get a clear understanding about a website.

I don't trust online reviews that are alway full of praises for the product and not mentioning any down side of the product. Very likely those are always paid reviews. For an online review to be authentic, it should also have a critical aspect to the product being reviewed.

I do trust online reviews to some extent, especially when there are many detailed and balanced ones. But I always take extreme positive or negative reviews with caution and try to look for patterns before deciding.

I trust online reviews only after checking patterns across multiple sources. If most say the same thing, it’s likely accurate. Once, mixed reviews on a hotel saved me from booking a place with hidden fees.
