Hello guys, I have a question for you all which always befuddles me every time I come across the movie Evil Dead. Do you really think that it is too scary for a person to step off watching it? I subjectively feel that this is not that eerie to sit and watch evil dead movie alone even during the midnight hours as I'd done this many times before. I don't say that I'm very bold indeed, but I do say that this movie is not that horrifying for people to watch. It may have scenes which wholly includes blood and consternation but doesn't make you panic at times.

So guys, what is your opinion on this?

It's not just Evil Dead that's not scary to watch. Most horror movies which have been released over the past decade hardly make me flinch [at the gore] or make me sweat in bed when I hear a creak on the stairs late at night. Fact is, movie-makers no longer can tell if something is creepy or not. Or maybe some of us have been desensitized because we've experienced more horrifying phenomena in real life. I don't know. . .

Its not scary at all, it's just gory. There are no movies as goo as the ones released in past like Nightmare on Elm Street, even though it's just a movie you would be afraid just to fall a sleep! And I think that since that era that didn't happen again, maybe I just matured. Although one I recently watched named The Conjuring invoked the fear I once felt with some movies in the past.

Not scary and hardly has any zombies. Looks like a low budget film with cheap actors and actresses. It should not be compared to the classic evil dead series but called something completely different like idiots in the woods. Best horror in recent times is insidious - if you haven't seen it i highly recommend it!

Yeah! I'll surely try those which you guys suggested and thanks for that. I recently heard that Conjuring is one such scary movie but I couldn't watch it due to some technical reasons. Now I'll make time to try these couple of movies Conjuring and Insidious for sure as I'm really in a crave to watch a dead horror movie and any such suggestions are enthusiastically accepted. Thanks again.
