Do you think dish networks & digital cable (dish and direct tv)

have taken variety away from television today? You get so many channels today dedicated to one thing and channels that have lost their identity all together.

Not only that, but it seems multiple channels will run similar programs - most of them dealing with some sort of death or destruction or apocalyptic, end-of-the-world thing.

FYI DirecTV is satelite not cable.

But it's not the companies that broadcast it that ruins them it's the network/channel companies that do.
