I was just wondering how many people out there still like to read comic books?

I know my sisters really enjoy reading all the old Cowboy Comic Books and my older sister has even got a few of them, touched them up a bit and is just starting to sell them on Amazon and on her website CoolCowboyComics.com

Personally I have never been much of a reader and I would rather watch cowboy movies than read about cowboys but I am sure there are still some folks out there who like to read comics.

Which do you prefer. Reading Cowboy comics or Watching Cowboy Movies? Or maybe Both? Or Neither?

I love comics. There's tons of free ones on Comixology. I tend to browse Amazon for digital comics graphic novels for low prices. Like right now they have a Wolverine/Hulk graphic novel for $2. There's specials all the time on Amazon. Not a fan of Cowboy comic books though, just not my style. By the way, I'm a 36 year old male, married, father of two, well paying job ... not exactly the demographic you'd think would be reading comics every day.

I read comics but I prefer the old classics. Comics created when artists took pleasure in creating real art. My favorite comics were and still are: Calvin and Hobbes, Asterix, The Smurfs and Peanuts. No cowboy comics for me either.

Yes, well less now than i did before. When i was young i read the beano, dandy, whizzer & chips, and x-men. I missed the recent comic-con but i am planing to check it out next year when it returns to London. Would be interesting to see all those people dressed up in crazy outfits.

Comic books, yes, definitly. COWBOY comic books, not so much, I'm afraid. Actually the only cowboy comics I read were Blueberry and Lucky Luke, but those were more Franco-Belgian style, not sure if it's same thing the OP's thinking about.

As for the other comics books, still buy them and read them. Currently on my to-read shelf are a couple of Batmans and Alan Moore's Swamp Thing.

I've never read a cowboy comic nor do I think I'd be that interested in doing so or even watching the movies. I used to read a lot of manga in my younger teen years, but I haven't as much lately. (Manga is expensive!!) I liked the look of manga and all the glossy cover art. It was like my special personal collection, until I sold them all on Ebay lol. I kind of miss them...

If you count manga as comics, yes, I do read them. As for American/Western comics, I think I use to read the Walking Dead. I also read a series called "Bone" and "Amulet."

I just love comics like anything. But comparatively I pay less attention towards cowboy comics. I would rather watch cowboy movies, the same with your case. Basically, I had least interest in reading books and the only books I try to stick to are comics. The smurfs and peanuts is my current favorite which I came across recently and had a good time with it. I would spare most of my leisure time playing sports and the rest with books (only comics). I expect few good ones from you guys which would be my next favorite.

I'm not a Western fan in general. I like the idea of cowboys in that they are chivalrous, manly, do-right-even-in-wrong characters but they are not necessarily something I gravitate to.
I had a hard time with comics all around. Batman seemed to be one of the only characters I took seriously in a comic. The story that surrounds him is so deep you could just get lost in it.

There don't seem to be a whole lot of them out there nowadays, so I'd say I watch more Western movies than comics. But certainly I've read a fair amount of them over the years, and buy them when there's a good author on board (Joe Landsdale for instance).

In comics I gravitate towards stuff like Weird West stories, while in movies I'll take 'em straight.

I've never really read the comic books that were published in North America, they never took my fancy, but I have read the Japanese Comics (manga). I'm sure that it counts as "comics" even if most people don't link the 2 words together sometimes. I hardly have time to read any nowadays but I wish that I did, I really liked the images that the artists would draw and there were some really good ones like Sailor Moon.

I've started reading a comic book series recently and when I was a kid I had a comic book that I loved called The Beano. I had around 100 comics all all stored in a chest of draws. I passed them on to my sisters kids a few years back and to be honest they have probably thrown them out. Ahh well, not everyones cup of tea I suppose.

Yes, I did read a lot of comic books when I was younger. I no longer read them, though. Since I suffer from anxiety, I would prefer to read self-help books for my mental health.
