Well, I am a cat person and I always love to keep cats as pets. I have kept many cats as pets and this also includes stray cats as well. The fact of the matter remains that cats are really cute creatures. I love it when they purr and when they roll over. They also tend to sleep with me sometimes and this proves that you cat loves you and trusts you. I have always preferred cats over dogs. So, do you also love cats as well? If yes, then what are some of your great experiences with cats?

…I was always more a dog person as we always had family dogs through my childhood years and growing up…but my son and his partner have two cats …a brother and sister that my son found in a refuse bin when they were tiny kittens…they’re now proper big grown up cats and I love my grand kittens very much…they’re very affectionate and loving and they have so, so much character…adorable…

Sy Snootles (A little under 1 yr old)

Technically, Jabba was my cat but my oldest has taken claim for her along with the new kitty which was hers from the get-go

I really am not a fan of cats but it does not mean that I hate them but just that I prefer having a dog around me than me living with a cat as my pet. The major thing which make me keep a cat is for the fact it helps in dealing with the rodents disturbing the house.

I really like cats. In our home we have like three cats that live with us. We have two middle aged female cast and one a little bit older cat. My former parents liked them too.

Yes, I really like cats, I have several domestic cats. I let them roam in the house, I don't lock them in cages. My cat is my best friend, he really understands when I call.

I love cats, especially black ones. I rent my apartment so I don't have any of my own. I work on a horse farm, though, so I live vicariously through the barn cats. Pzl5wJJ.gif

I have a cat named Murphy.

I always did love pets, but I usually was more drawn towards dogs. However, as my girlfriend was away off to university, I ended up getting a cat for some companionship. I just didn't have time to take care of a dog. Hes been with me for a year and a half now :)

I just finished fostering a black manx kitten. She was adorable.

how about the cost of having a cat @Jordan? is it expensive or not? because I am not into animals but my daughter wants to have one
Having a cat alone I don't find too expensive. However, I spoil my cat. The cat food I buy is really expensive. About 7 times more than what my brother pays for his cat food. I also give my cat food lots of wet food along with his dry food. Normally though, cat food isn't that expensive.

What does get expensive is when you need to do vet visits. You should spay/neuter any cat you get, along with keep them updated with any shots. That can be hundreds of dollars. Once they are fixed and have their shots though, you can do a routine checkup once a year for pretty cheap. (Unless issues arise)

I also had an emergency vet visit 2 weeks before Christmas that costed me $1,200.

wow, $1.200 for an emergency visit @Jordan Oh my goodness, I can't afford that Jordan LOL but thank you for the detailed information about your own cat. i will think about it again and again LOL
Keep in mind, that's in Canadian dollars.
But yes, if you plan on getting a pet, definitely get pet insurance, or stash away $30/m for emergencies specific to your cat.

P.S. You can see pictures of my cat here:

If you don't want to be expensive, just buy your daughter a cat doll. Very good idea right? They're both cute and adorable but don't need special care, apart from occasional washing to keep them clean. LOL

What a pity. :p
It is the responsibility of a father to make his children happy, but it is true that not all children's wishes can be fulfilled. Carefully consider the pros and cons.
