While the theory of evolution is indeed considered a sicentific research with facts and what not, i was raised to believe otherwise.

thus I am torn.

What will my kids learn? whatever is needed to exceed in school, will it invovle this? probably, but they will know both sides of the issue as my wife is a devoted baptist.

What the hell is there to be torn on??? It's science, plain and simple. Evolution itself says absolutely nothing about the existence of god.

Science is the study of God's creation. If scientists want to try and figure out how God created us, I say more power to them. I'll find out the definitive answers soon enough.

Exactly! Evolution shows how it was done. The bible (should you choose to believe it) tells us why and who. They aren't mutually exclusive.
