Virtual worship and prayer apps are gaining popularity. Can technology replicate spiritual experience, or does it diminish communal value? How should religious authorities adapt rituals for online platforms? Can digital participation strengthen faith while preserving traditional in-person practices?

My church actually goes live for every service through Facebook. It doesn't stop the on site worship service, but it gives a chance for people who are far away and wish to be part of the worship service to join in and take part. Plus it is a marketing tool too.

Online religious practices have grown fast, especially after the pandemic, offering convenience and access for people who are far away, disabled, or busy. Some say virtual worship provides real community and spiritual support, while others argue it lacks the personal connection, shared rituals, and emotional depth of gathering in person.

I don't see that happening, however, religious institutions can use online platforms to reach out followers and bring people to their congregation

It depends because for some religious practices physical presence is required you can't watch on tv and do the prayer and what you have said.
