Many people find emotional support through gaming or online chat groups. Have you ever felt a digital friendship become truly personal? What made it feel real despite the distance?

Not always because you cannot rely on a person whom you have not seen and have chatted online only. In the past I have many criminal cases where a person is trapped by these online friends. Yes, talking to them relieves stress but that's up to when they ask for money or something else.

I have not been engrossed myself so much in a friendship that is based online till it seems real to me. There is too much fakeness with people online. And building deep connections with someone you met online is just too risky.

Yes, I’ve had a few digital friendships that felt genuinely personal. What made them real was consistently talking almost every day, sharing small details about life, and supporting each other during tough times. Even without meeting face-to-face, the emotional connection and trust built over time made it feel just as authentic as any in-person friendship.
