Anyone had issues with their DirecTV freezing up on them every minute? It used to when it snowed or rained but it hasn't done it in a year or two now its doing it to me on clear days... And only me. My parents are on the same dish in their apartment and they're fine...

No, actually. Today it was raining and I didn't have any problems. Did you try to do a hard re-boot of your receiver?

Sounds like you need to call tech support. Do you pay insurance so that if you require a service call, or replacement parts, you won't get charged?

I love my DirectTv. :)

Did you just turn it off and back on or did you pull the plug out of the wall, and let it sit for a few mins?

splitters, length of coax cable run are usual problems with this and even with cable :p

I have Comcast and I must say i do love it! whether it is rain/snow/or whatever... it keeps working

We did have a problem in the last place we were at where there was a single line feeding the entire town home so there were splitters upon splitters which degraded internet connectivity and usual freezing fits with the HD channels, but since moving, i couldnt be happier!

I just dont want to deal with the intermittent outages from time to time depending on the weather... LOL
