Did anyone actually like Memento?

I watched it years ago with a girl I was interested in and the only thing that kept me interested was the way the events played out in reverse.

Back when it came out I thought it was the coolest thing and I really wanted to see it. Finally got around to renting it when it came out on DVD and I was extremely disappointed. The concept is great but the movie was crap.

Yeah I love it, saw it when it came out. I cant believe that the same guy who did Memento, which is beautifully shot went on to do such pop culture standards like Batman or Inception. For me it was a bit like Bertolucci or Leone doing the latest Sandra Bullock comedy.

At first I didn't like it, moreso because i didn't really *get it*. But then a few years later I watched it again and really got into it. It's pretty good.
