It is nice that A child could be the Saving Grace for another Sick Child.. but to have a child strictly for that purpose,

Its unfair to the child. because then it is born with expectations.. and no child should come into the world for soley one purpose.

This was done many years ago with a family in California whose daughter was dying of leukemia. Neither parent was a match, so they had a baby and she matched the older girl. At 6 months, a bone marrow transplant was done and it was successful.
Thinking it's unfair to the new baby is a bit off the mark; this baby was a miracle life saver to her big sister. I'd rather bring a child into the world with purpose than the way some have-as unloved 'accidents'.

um... then what is a regular child brought into the world for?

not only that, but a regular child doesnt have a choice either, when conceived...:confused

One of the more obvious problems I see here is the idea that child #2 is going to know that they were created as a tool, not created as an expression of love.

Are the parents going to love #2 like they should, or are they going to ask for more and more when child #1 get sick or injured?

It's probably one of those things that COULD be okay, but will LIKELY be not-okay.
