Decision based on...

Fact or gut instinct? how do you decide on the facts laid down before you? do you research and then decide? consult with others? phone a friend? more than the no-brainers...dilemmas of family, friends, etc. extreme example, taking someone off of life support?
just curious...

I usually use my past experiences, things I have heard from others, logic and reason to think of best and worst case scenario, weigh pros and cons...then I waffle a lot and do a lot of "what ifs", sometimes get whiny because I tend to be bad at making huge choices...but I eventually settle on my best guess.
