It all comes down to. Who is the lesser of the two evils.
Except that there are more than two candidates.
*anticipated response* "But only two who can win."
That's because so fucking many people believe they have only two to choose from.

If you vote the lesser of two evils, evil always wins.
If everyone would vote for who they really think would be the best person for the job, maybejustmaybe the best person for the job would win, for a change.

I watch tv debates. I believe all politicians say things or couch things that are favorable to themselves. Based on my exposure to a variety of sources I believe Obama most of the time and I disbelieve Romney most of the time. If you want truth or relative truth, Obama is a better choice. Feel free to call out Obama's most significant lies. :D

I watched the first debate, but not the second. I enjoy reading a news article that breaks down what they said and points out if it was fact or not.

I'm baffled with the local talk radio and others harping on and on about how important it is to vote Romney and get Obama out. Texas is a lock for Romney. The only thing an individual's vote is good for in this state and most others is to send a message. Either you are okay with the status quo or you're not. If you are, either vote Romney, Obama, or don't vote. All three actions send the same message. If not, vote for someone else ... anyone else, really. The message is that status quo is not okay. If enough people send that message, then maybejustmaybe they might adjust, if only to win some votes back.

On foreign policy, Romney=Obama=Bush

There are huge foreign policy differences between Obama and Romney/Bush. You are smarter than this or in your quest for purity, you are in denial. For one thing W and his team new nothing of diplomacy, just flexing our muscles, and consequently, made the world dislike us (more than it all ready does)...

You're a mindless parrot. President Obama carried out and continues with President Bush's original plans. Romney confirmed that he would do the same.

We were committed when Obama came in. Based on the advice of the military for that current at the time situation, he decided to follow through. I disagreed with this. However, you're not knowledgeable about our standing in the world under Bush as compared to Obama. You need to broaden your horizons.

How does Obama have a foreign relations policy even CLOSE to Bush? First of all we haven't ostracized the entire global community allies and unfriendlies alike. Second of all, we have relied on NATO more, as well as diplomacy instead of instantly hitting the war room when it comes to N korea and Iran. We are utilizing sanctions and embargos, and not sabre rattling. there is NO comparison between Bush and Obama!!

You guys are confusing style for strategy. I'm guessing it's a psychological block - Obama simply can't be like Bush because that would mean changing the whole paradigm.

eta: Plus, what about Romney? He's the supposed opposition, remember?

I agree with ACC that you guy have blinders on

Gitmo.. same policy
Afghanistan... same policy
Iran.. same policy
N. Korea.. same policy

When did Bush attack N Korea and Iran ?

Also I guess you forgot about the sanctions and embargos eh? Which seem to never work. Or does it take 60 years of them to prove that. As in Cuba

And as far as coalitions go we had them before. The difference this time is Obama treated the UN as if its blessing was the same as congress blessing

But you just keep on keeping on. :p

Blinders, it might be argued we all wear them to some point, especially you. :)

You ready for another war paid with a credit card? At the end of WWII, income taxes were way up there to pay for the war. You know the responsible method. I bet you a dollar that if this standard (actually paying for a war) was imposed today, we'd never get into another war unless it was a no-shit war of survival. BTW, this does not mean I am against a strike against Iran's nuclear infrastructure. There may be a time when it is necessary, but after two wars instigated by saber rattlers, I have to ask was it worth putting ourselves 1/2 step from bankruptcy to accomplish it? And the answer is no. Expressing himself regarding Iran, Mittens sounds like a dufus.

ah those blinders of yours are well in place Minor

Those wars cost us in many ways. I did not agree with them. In particular Afghanistan which is a bottomless pit which nobody in the past was able to deal with.

Still it is not the wars in total that are bankrupting us. It is a whole lot more than that.
