I just found out today that they're adapting my favourite novel into a movie in Feburary... I hope they can pull it off and not ruin it for me.

YouTube - Dear John Trailer HD

John Tyree is my most favourite character written by Nicholas Sparks, Channing Tatum better not disappoint me. I fell in love with this guy when I read the novel, the way his character developed is just amazing and the ending just broke my heart completely and made me understand love on a deeper level. I cried like a baby a few times in this novel, they also can't leave anyone out in the movie, I want every character in it since they're all very important.

Also I really treasure this book because I was in a point of my life of being in a stupid abusive situation with a dude and I wanted something more... this brought me to think that there has got to be a guy out there that will want my happiness than his and be selfless because you really do love the person. Also whenever I think of this novel I also think of the time when I picked it up... I was at a bookstore before leaving to Calgary, I had to make a very important choice that evening, I chose to not meet someone for a one night stand and instead just went on to my vacation in California for two weeks, best decision ever.

Also this book has so many things I can relate to with each character and what has went on in my life. So.... reallly looking forward to seeing how this film is going to be like...

its a chick flick
does your woman carry your balls in her purse?

Sad to know that you wouldnt see a "chick flick" if your girl asked you to LOL I guess im just secure with myself to see it dexxx ;)

But I liked the movie. Yes it was a love story but had some action in it cause of the war scenes and also some twists

Anyone that has a loved one in the Armed forces would probably appreciate this movie

Lived through it already, my brother-in-law and his wife are living it now, don't really need to be reminded about it. Though his wife really enjoyed the book and is planning on seeing it.

I really enjoyed the movie...more than I expected.

A lot of people didn't like the ending, but personally I did. After what she did to him I didn't want him to take her back!!!

I saw the movie before I read the book. I enjoyed the movie much more & that's only because it ended more happily than the book. The scene when John is with his Dad in the hospital & reads him his letter, I cried like a baby.

Ahhhh yes...the hospital scene was a very good scene. :) I cried, too. I can't watch a man cry...I'm just a puddle after that.
