We will be celebrating the 4th & 5th in the Big Easy and then on to the beach for 8 more days.

Hoping work dismisses us early like they sometimes do before a holiday.

Still torn between making the drive to NJ or not. I really like the idea of just relaxing locally, but I also would really enjoy using my mom's pool / getting to use her kitchen to do the 4th of July baking I want to try

Today I work as usual, tomorrow I will be all by myself.....sniff sniff, all my friends are busy and otherwise engaged and I didn't know Joe was working until Sunday.....But, he gets double time and a half. So I will probably be drinking myself silly.....LOL.

Work Thursday BUT taking Friday off and Joe has Friday and Saturday off YEA!!!

So tonite will go for beer run and be prepared to placate dogs from illegal fireworks (they are banned in city only downtown by organizers) but they always are shot off all day anyway and dogs don't like at all......

Tonight I'm going with a few girls at workto happy hour and to see Magic Mike :ninja.

Tomorrow Doug and I are cleaning his house (oh the joy) and grilling out for dinner. We'll probably watch Serenity since we just finished Firely. We were considering going to a local celebration (they have Huey Lewis and the News playing... ha!) but it's on blacktop and it's supposed to be 96 degrees without the heat index.

Then back to work on Thursday... boo!

Today was spent in a Supervisor's Workshop and tomorrow I'll be working. We're having barbecue and all the fixings at work tomorrow, though.
