Robby Gordon wont get beat by a girl until her advantage is taken away....LoL!!!

Gordon, a former open-wheel driver now in NASCAR, contends that Patrick is at an advantage over the rest of the competitors because she only weighs 100 pounds. Because all the cars weigh the same, Patrick's is lighter on the race track.

"The lighter the car, the faster it goes," Gordon said. "Do the math. Put her in the car at her weight, then put me or Tony Stewart in the car at 200 pounds and our car is at least 100 pounds heavier.

"I won't race against her until the IRL does something to take that advantage away."

Does he have a case or is he just a whining little boy???

A whining little boy. I mean, come on! Is anyone else griping? People will find any and every little thing to gripe about. It's not just about how fast your car can go. What about her driving. Can she drive just as well as the men do? Sounds to me like he's afraid he might lose and he doesn't want to lose to a girl. But, hey, thats all just my opinion. I could be totally way off base.

plus 100 lbs of interior weight... not really a lot when you consider the percentage of overall weight of the vehicle. he is a pussy afraid of losing to a girl that probably will beat his ass in a race.

She did quite well. She came in 4th...not bad for a rookie...much less a female rookie!!!

You Go Girl!!!!

BTW Atlantic it was Robbie....not Jeff Gordon. I dont think Jeff would have much to complain about anyway. He looks like he'd be about 140 wet!!! LoL!!!

Tony needs to lose some fuckin weight then. 100 lbs will make the car MAYBE 1/10th faster. So it's not going to be a huge difference seeing as how it's a big oval track.

Honestly though CareBear, her being a female is really insignificant as far as I'm concerned. No one complains when Ashley Force is whipping guy's asses on the quarter mile. I think Danica was way too over-hyped. I agree she did a kick ass job for it being her first Indy 500 race. And as she gets more experience then I'm sure she will be an even bigger competitor.
I'll tell you what though, she is a hot little number. At least I thought she was until she went and opened her mouth. I watched the pre-race show where they did the Danica in her own words interview thingy. She said something like, "... I'm a female. And it helps that I'm good looking". And then she said something even more ignorant. "I can't help it that I've become a sex symbol in this sport". You can't help it Danica? Well, let's see... you were the only female there, so I would call that more a lack of options than anything else. Ugh! A woman can be so sexy and then say something so conceited like that and just be the ugliest woman in the world to me. But that's just my opinion.
Still..... I'd hit it!

In my Mustang I can tell if I have a 100lb girl in it. It drives slower.

I think one of those cars are abouit 1500lbs. If you make it 1600lbs, then you make it slower. I see where he is coming from. I seen a pic of her and I would much rather see then some guy. She is a hottie!

I was unable to watch the race, and did not hear her being such a snob. It is a shame that she is like that. IMO – she’s cute and not a butch….but shes not all that to be talking like she’s the next Anna. I still gotta give her mad props for being able to do so well in the race.

I read today that they figured out the advantage she had by being 100lbs less. They said she would gain 0.8 miles per hour. That is a more significant advantage than you realize.

When I stop to really think about it, and get over the Girl Power….I do have to agree that her advantage is not fair. And this is actually something they have been trying to get changed for awhile now….not just now that there is a woman racing. It is not only unfair because a woman would be smaller, but there are also small men as well. There are plenty of 140lb men and also 200lb men. I don’t think its fair to make the bigger guys loose weight because of this rule. That in itself could be an even bigger disadvantage. I would think you would need as much strength as you could get in a race such as the Indy 500.

Think about a horse race….if a few pounds make a difference to a 200lb horse….wouldn’t 100 lbs make a difference in a car race? They make the jockeys all have the same amount of weight, so why not the cars? I know when we go on vacation our vehicle gets much worse gas mileage than when I am in there alone. Less gas mileage, another unwanted pit stop….right????

I want to see everyone have the same weight….and then when she kicks their butts they cant go crying to mama!!!

o- i read it wrong (jeff gordon is still gay IMO- even htough he is a good racer) but here is how i see it:

why are men afraid of facing women in sports? who cares is a woman beats a man? for example, in augusta, ga (where i live) the Masters Golf Tournament comes through every year, but it is a men-only tournament. The Augusta National (the course the Masters is played on) is a privately owned course where women cannot be members. that is bs IMO. men act as though they are superior to women, but they are too afraid to compete against one for fear of losing. i personally wouldnt care if a woman beat me at something. i just dont understand where R Gordon is coming from... hell- the men drivers dont all weigh the same??

Apparently from what I've been reading, he, along with other drivers, have been fighting this rule because they all do not weigh the same. Its just making more publicity because its a woman.

well if it isnt an issue b/c of a woman- let them have equal weight ie. lighter cars for heavier drivers. but then they need to do weigh-ins like wrestling (olypmic style)... it is a huge mess if you ask me.

Weight limits?!?! Of course its not fair that she weighs 100 pounds less but thats life. You should do a little research on horse jockeys and see the torture they put themselves through over a few pounds. Theyre worse than models. Now they wanna bring this into motorsports. Why dont they just take the fattest fooker out there and add the difference with lead weights to the other cars. Thats real fair too. Just because the fat ass cant get below 200 pounds, everyone else has to add weight to their cars so they can be slow too. :tard I think its BS. My motto is "Run what you brung" If you dont believe me ask my wife how many times shes heard that one from me. :D So what if you get beat. If you cant handle it, get better. :fu
