Maybe a rule of third would of created a bit more stunning effect, by that I mean, divide the frame of the shot into 3 sections horizontally and vertically, and put the centre of the flower put into either corner like this where the the red crosses are in the second image here http://digital-photography-school.com/rule-of-thirds

Not saying it is a bad composition or you should always go by rules, as 'rules' are meant to be broken
