have you been? waht cruise line? where did you go?
I've been on two Royal Carribean cruises, one 11 day cruisetour to Alaska...it was AWESOME. Then we went on a 14 day through the Panama Canal and to costa rica, acupulco, aruba, curacao, st thomas, and puerto rico. I think there might have been another stop but I'm not sure. Went to Alaska in 96 and thru the canal in 98. I'm so excited, I have been going through withdrawls ever since I came back home from my last cruise, and now I FINALLY get to go again! We are going for our honeymoon, my fiance didn't want to because he is scared of open water, but I finally convinced him! We will be flying to Ft. Lauderdale and taking off from there to go to Grand Cayman and Jamaica. It's 5 nights. :)

My fiance has been on a cruise or two and she is in love with them. Honestly, I don't think it is something I want to do. I'd rather go to a destination and stay there for a week so I could explore it, rather than stop and go. She says that I would love it. I'm sure we will go on one eventually, but I'd rather not on my honeymoon.

I would love to go on a cruise to Alaska though. The views would be breathtaking.

Yeah the Alaska one was awesome. And there is time to do things you want to do, they have land excursions you can sign up for, and you can do 2 or 3 in a day if you really wanted to. When we stopped in Juneau we went whitewater rafting on a melting glacier...in Ketchikan we rode bikes down this steep mountain, and then in another city we did this cable car thing that went up the mountain and saw all the wildlife. The ship itself is enough fun for me without stopping anywhere, gotta love the all inclusive food, and all the activities there are. While cruising Alaska we also saw some whales right near our boat, they were jumping out of the water and it was amazing.

Never been on a cruise myself. The furthest I've been on a boat is the ferries to France and The Isle Of Man! My dad's been fitting out a long boat though and as a favour the owner is going to take us all on a trip up the river.:D

I never been on one. I'm too poor. I never been anywhere besides Wisconsin and Iowa. Yeah, I need to get out more.

cruises aren't very expensive if you book at the right time! Well some can be...but a lot of 3 nd 4 night ones start at around $299/person, and keep in mind that all meals are included. That is incredibly cheap, compare it to how much you'd spend in a hotel on vacation, and add in food. It's a good deal!

heather, the europe cruise is my dream...the airfare is what kills me. Maybe some dayyyy when we have more money! My grandmother has been on that cruise, it was one of her favs. And Royal Caribbean is THE way to go hands down. I won't cruise with any other line.

Nice thread. I haven't been on one yet, but my wife and I were discussing it on our way home from Alabama after Christmas. We might start with the inner passage to Alaska. I love rafting so we'll have to do that while we are there.

The only one that I've been on was the Disney cruise, and I LOVED it!

We stopped at nassau and a private island that's owned by disney. Even though there were kids on the ship, it was still a lot of fun!

$299 a person for 3-4 nights? Do you have any further info on this. I might let my girlfriend know for spring break.

you wont get any deals like that for spring break this year for sure. Cruises book up pretty quick, and to get the low prices you need to book at least 8 months or so in advance. The one we booked for the honeymoon was not our first choice, but the only rooms left on the one we wanted were the more expensive ones that cost $1300+ a person. The trick to getting good deals is booking very early. Check out royalcarribean.com
