I love the lady bug, the one prior, and then in the slideshow you have trunks with fog. And the cow with the flies on it's nose.

Those are my ultimate faves, but they are all stunning. It looks like a beautiful place! And it's a castle to boot!

Thank you Kim :)

It was fantastic inside as many of these places are but alas, no pics inside.

The cow was a growing calf I think - it didn't look as big as the other cows about the place. I felt sorry for it :(

I tried to do something with the foggy trunks - no photochopping but there is something about that picture, see if you can figure out what it is if you don't already know :D

I like 'em all Siph but the one that grabs my fancy the most is the lone bare tree.

Thanks Guy.

That's a deceased oak tree that definitely catches your attention from far away. When you get closer you see the sign that explains it:

Awesome shots.. and yes the tree is stunning.

Thanks Melissa, see the pic link above for what that tree is about :)

Croft Castle? As in Lara Croft???? happydance.png

Not quite :D But it does have a long history - a building has existed on the site since about the 11th century. The original building was built as a fort to watch for those varmints from Wales coming over to England to rape, pillage and plunder. It was situated on a hilly area with a good view over the plains towards Wales.

What's the story with red neon light looking one?

There was an indoor stables type building with that, the foggy trees and other things that were part of the "tell it to the trees" exhibition.

On flickr, found another shot further back for more perspective.

Thanks for the info. :)

It sure has a presence!

For sure. While searching on flickr, I found that it was red before - the wrapping must have faded over time. So much for my assumption that the descriptive plaque writer had a funny idea of "red" ;)

It's really pretty up close, all intricate and the like. But that picture puts a whole new picture (for lack of a better word) in my mind. Not at all what I'd expect the setting to be like.

I thought his idea of red was off too...

Seems like you worked out the pic link :thumbup

It was taken using the wide angle lens to accentuate the cloud cover but I also liked it for the shadows the clouds formed over parts of the landscape.

Same wide angling you used @ Joshua Tree pics, i presume. Ta

I figured out the pic link alright, for that pic with the cloud formation

What am on about not posting is the pic of those dark green trees with the foggy/shadowy base that didnt post but appeared as a a blue Qn mark :p
