Michael Bailey Smith (Pluto from HHE06) discussing his character Hades...
"I'll be playing Hades, the mutant leader. This guy is the biggest badass of them all. I've been training my butt off, getting ready. I've been working out hard and getting bigger. I'm going to be freakin' scary when I show up in Morocco.
Pluto had a child-like innocence mixed with this incredible violence. Well, if you take just the incredible violence and make that a character, that's Hades. He’ll be smart, cunning and have the violence of Pluto x 10.
... Hades has a big fight at the end of the film. In talking with the producers, they assured me that the fight will make the Pluto/Doug fight scene in the remake look like child's play. If I have anything to do with it, it will be incredible.
The actors who are playing the National Guard soldiers better be ready, because I’m coming for them...
Hades is basically the violent half of Pluto. No remorse, nothing. Hades looks pretty sick and twisted too. Remember, he's the king of the mutants, so he's going to be very powerful.
There's an opening scene that is pretty twisted and then for the climax of the film, you'll see a fight scene that will be pretty awesome. I don't want to give it away, but in the fight, there's some stuff that happens that I know you're going to say, "Holy...shit!"
I think sometimes people forget what violence and toughness I can bring to a role. They're going to quickly be reminded once I get there. That's a promise.
... I'm training hard, getting in even better shape and I'll be ready to kick some ass."
Well, even if it's shallow as hell, atleast it should be cool as hell.
