So talking with quite a few people lately we noticed it was virtually impossible to go into Costco and spend less then our target budget.

I manage to keep into my spending limits now but it is tempting to go way overboard while at that store..

Many times I have walked out with probably two or 3 purchases way above $300.00 my intended buying target and it annoys me.. Its not that I did not get value for my money, but then I kick myself for the rest of the month with little extra money to spend.

This year has been good..

It's funny, because no other store, like Best Buy, Wal Mart or even Home Depot can seen to do this.

What is it about Buying large Volume of crap ?

Nothing, as long as the items don't perish before used, and you don't go crazy busting your budget saving money. ;)

You would think not.. ;)

But here is a situation that I have found annoying..

My older daughter, who is ADD / ODD sees the extra bonus size as reason to eat and eat, or take for her use. She is thin and can pack it away like there is no tomorrow..

In the past I would buy a 12 pack of popcorn for 5 bucks at a local supermarket..

Now I buy a 36 pack at Costco and at first it would last less time then the 12 pack.. She would eat it 4 times as fast.. And then the family arguments about it just were crazy.. Same with Rice Crispy Square Bars.. :mad

We won't even get into the batteries or computer stuff..

But like I said, it's only the Costco stuff.. weird..

Funny, I don't have that problem at Costco - mainly because I only go there for certain stuff and that's what I leave with. Target is where I have the problem - I always spend more there than I want or intend to.

we dont have a Costco here. its SAM's club. same thing, just ran by walmart.

we ALWAYS never come out with less than about $300! and its never our target price or target items! well, we get our target items.....then add a few more! LoL but when we go (we dont go often, for good reason! LoL) we know we'll be spending that much. the only problem is, we forget to prepare the house for all the extra items! things will sit on the floor and counters for a few hours till we find room in the cabinets, pantry and fridge/freezer! LOL

I hate Costco, We are two people, we do not need 36 rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, 12 cans of comet, etc., we are going to move in a few months, who the heck wants to pack that stuff!

I hate shopping anyway, actually I hate Walmart more than Costco, the people and clerks at Walmart are........er unusual...

I've only been in a Sam's/Costco once or twice. Not even sure if it was one or both. I don't have kids & I want my jar of peanut butter to small enough to pick up & carry, rather than pull on wheels or something. :muscles:

I love Costco but we make sure we stick to the list. We've overspent there many times when we first joined over 15 years ago cuz of all the money we save. :24:

Now about the list.... it should be accurate but sometimes we screw up. Anyone wanna buy 6 boxes of Ziploc Baggies... we haz 12 now. :D I figure we're good until about 2020. I almost forgot... we can spare about 6 or 8 Glade Plug-in refills cuz we haz a lotz of 'em as well. :24:

One more thing.. we had not eaten a Pizza Pop for many years and decided we would try a box. I can't recall if they had 24 or 36 in a case but anywhoo we each had one... the rest went to my niece and nephew cuz they like 'em and we didn't. :yuk

I have to agree with Sky on that one.. In fact she doesn't need to sell me on anything I will just hand her all my money.. :p:p

However in my Province ( State to you US folks :D ), they don't sell alcohol at Costco but in another in Canada I would not doubt they do.. If that was the case I am sure many would walk out with even larger bills then they already do.. :24:
