This may sound a bit stupid but I was watching Hustle about 2 hours ago and they did one of those press one button and everything copies across. No matter how much I Google, I cannot find the right kind of program for it... Does anybody know what I can use? Thank you in advance for your help.

I dont know of a program that would do it by itself, but you just copy files from hard disk-->whatever storage. It really is as simple as that. You may have to close a few programs/ignore a few which are in use by the computer using the harddrive, unless you self-power the harddrive.

Ive done it before, copied my old desktops laptop to my laptops harddrive. Just powered the harddrive on its own and copied the whole thing.

Well I could do that yes but I was looking for something more specific that would start up automatically as soon as a memory stick was inserted. I have found something but it's not properly automated. I could do with a script or something that I can setup an autorun.inf file for...

One button copy? Wow....that is purely fictional for us normal folks. Maybe for law enforcements.....aka spies, yeah....probably the case, or some known hackers

youre not going to make a successful copy of an in-use harddrive without quite a few kill programs/scripts. where as you could easily make a script to simply copy a file from drive ____ (the harddrive) to your intended drive.

Honestly though, if youre trying to steal information from a harddrive, which is the only reason I can think of in which youd make a copy, on-boot script, I can already tell you taht youre probably making a mistake. especially if youre asking how to do it on an internet forum of this nature :(

I am not intending to steal anything from anyone, I'm not that kind of person. It would just be easier than having to copy everything that I wanted or pull out the hard drive and copy it in slave or something like that.
