Use it to undo what you just deleted but didn't want to delete. Works in Word too.

Isn't that just for undo while working on something and the actions are still in memory?.... or clipboard per se.

I don't think it will work for example if you delete something to the trash and empty it. Or if you restart the computer.

The control-z combination is a 'session-only' basis; like in Microsoft Word, using a document - but will not cross over documents.

Unlike Microsoft Word, control-y acts like a backspace is Microsoft Visual Basic 6. I am quite thankful for the control-z combination that works the same that is available as well in VB.

I would like to correct the original post, because the control-z combination does not always function in the same capacity across all applications; it is purely up to the programmer and/or development team to decide whether the feature is similar to that of Microsoft Word.

Prefers Inventor... I need to get a copy soon, actually; I have ideas!

Well, I have many, but Inventor is what I played around with in high school (I was part of an engineering program, first year instituted; I did not progress to second year, because I hated homework -- basically 3 pages of definitions.)

If there is one regret, that I did not do my homework and study my ass off in high school would be it.

AutoCAD is industry standard though .. if you want to persue anything remotely related to Computerized Drafting .. you need to know AutoCAD.

I have it on some cd around here, or maybe it got thrown during my possession purging. Either way, I do agree. Inventor, while slightly fun, is not as advanced as AutoCAD; I liked the interface though.

AutoCAD is easypeasy .. once you learn where the basic controls are (or the type-in shortcuts) it's a blast .. I adore it.
