Would you buy an album that say for example of a band who had a long discography of releasing singles, suddenly released a compilation album and put a new track on it.

I know iTunes and the likes are available where you can download single tracks off an album, but say either the band/record company decided you have to buy the whole album for that one track or we didn't have the likes of itunes.

I have 45+ Bob Dylan albums and I would buy a compilation album with a new song, or different variation of a song if it was on it...

So yes, but only for artists I truly like!

No. I don't much care for compilation albums, they're only really good for artists you don't know about and need a quick introduction too.

But what if that compilation album had a rare song on it, not released on any other album... ?

I'd listen to it on youtube maybe a couple of times.
If it's just one song, I wouldn't be too fussed.

I suppose it's better than that annoying habit they have now of putting bonus tracks on albums... Completely ruins the album.
