Just wondering how you like your service...We have Timewarner cable here in Houston and they got bought out by comcast...the switch is set to happen in June and I have been fairly happy with TW...I just want to know what the difference is, if any.

Comcast here on base has a monopoly, so I hate them. They don't care about providing good service, because they're the only option we have if we want cable/internet.

how much do you pay ali?

We pay about $140/mo for cable and net...but we hve the HD package and a few channels added on. That's with TW...I'm hoping my bill might go down :D

The only cable around here is Comcast; otherwise there is Satellite.

It's okay, no TV problems, but, yeah, the cost is ridiculous.....(and they keep begging for more!)

I have Comcast internet service, too, and when that kept going down for like two weeks, I called their dumbasses and 3 techs came out and said nothing was wrong. So after another week of up & down, I checked out the pole in the next door neighbor's backyard and found out that my cable was split off from a split off.............Grrrrrr!!

Finally, someone from Comcast, that didn't have a lazy agenda actually put my cable on the main port. No problems since, but the cost, oh did I mention the cost?? Way overpriced!

According to Comcast they aren't changing TW's prices "yet". I am sure they will raise them eventually, but it won't happen right away or all at once, because they fear a mass exodus to DirectTV (which actually has really good service in Texas, I've thought about it just for the NFL package).

If Comcast jacks with their prices too much, I will just switch to DTV and DSL. The new DSL lines they are offering in Houston are fast.

I dunno, maybe. I didn't say we were going to do it. I am happy with TW/Comcast right now. But if the internet goes to shit, or the price jumps up too high, I am going to switch to something else.

Comcast = the wretched abortion of all cable companies.

Over priced, non-guaranteed speeds, non-guaranteed actual reliable service.

When I got it installed at my old apartment, two days later their servers went down for no apparent reason at all.

Three months into the apartment, the modem I was paying 3 bucks a month for simply quit working.

They're customer service is pathetic on the phone and in person. I went to turn in my Digital cable box and they tried to talk me into keeping the service if they gave me 10 bucks off for 3 months.

At 130 a month, I told them they're idiots and to cancel my digital subscription unless they're going to do better than that.
