Any pictures?!?! I've heard lots about how Colorodo is such a varied and beautiful state, definately want to visit sometime.

BUT! As someone who lives in a pretty mountainous region, I have to say that mountains are a bit overrated. There are hills everywhere and you feel isolated. It can be hard to explain. A few years ago I went on a trip to Texas. When I returned, I noticed the mountains even more, it's like night and day.

Stationed there for a couple years.
Beautiful? Yes.
Weather? Mostly warm depending on your point of reference.
But, the weather can be very extreme and "odd" again depending on your point of view.
Is that beautiful countryside usable? Ah....no. It's all very pretty, but all very vertical, at least west of the front range.
Driving somewhere? Again, if you are used to the eastern part of the country you will find Colorado annoying at best.
A great place to visit, but I would never live there.
Garden of Gods is gorgeous but man oh man, going anywhere in that state is just a royal PIA.

Spend a couple of winters on some of the western mountain ranges, and your perspective may change a little. Highways get closed for winter in some areas.

That said, considering Space Mountain is one of Florida's highest peaks, I see your point of view:D
