Since my last Cloverfield thread got so many guest views, and new info and rumors are surfacing, I figured its time for a new thread!

If anybody went to see Iron Man 2, then you probably caught the mysterious teaser for a new film by the legendary J.J. Abrams. Do not be fooled! This is not Cloverfield 2! It's yet another new viral campaign for Abrams' next film. Shedding some light on Cloverfield 2, in numerous interviews, the most recent one being with MTV, Cloverfield director Matt Reeves stated, “It really isn’t the moment for [the sequel] to go any further than it has, but it continues to be a priority for both of us,” He also went on to mention that Abrams is currently deep into pre-production on Super 8(The teaser from Iron Man 2), while he himself is putting the finishing touches on his vampire horror remake, Let Me In. When questioned about sequel info and updates, Abrams isn't being anymore open really, but he gives a bit more hope and promise to the future of Cloverfield. Abrams recently talked to MTV on the subject and offered this update on the status of Cloverfield 2: “We're working on something right now with that and again, you know, it's early stages”.

As far as sequels go, nothing has been set in stone just yet, but one hong is for certain, that is that Abrams seems to want to do a sequel, while Reeves is still rather unsure.

Also, since the last thread got so many views, I gotta ask...does Fergie look like a man? :D

Fergie looks more manly than my boyfriend.

And as to Cloverfield 2, I'm not sure I'd like to see a squel made. I thought Cloverfield was good and a squel would just be unneccessary - I can't see what else they can do to make it a new film. Yes, things were left unresolved but I like that; I don't want every single little detail told to me, I like films having a little mystery and people to be able to discuss what they think might have happened.
