I close my eyes,
My Heart, my soul
listening to the silence
the emptiness that is me

Disappearing from my sight
wondering if I was ever here
Blackness of my life
once again closes in

Purpose and need
escapes my view
wonderment occupies
wishing I knew

needs and desires
false hopes for more
breeding Distain
to my every breath

what others see
deepens the lie
facing the truth
is all I can do

Closing my eyes
my heart, my soul
Accepting the emptiness
walking its path.
