What sorts of things do you put in stockings or do you remember having had in your stockings?

My parents put in chocolates and movies, nail polish, perfume, video games, CDs. Oh, and tangerines. They did that one every year, actually. Which is odd now that I think about it.

Bath beads, gloves, chocolate, tangerines, perfume, cd's, movies, gift cards, card games, nail files, hair stuff (barrettes, bobby pins, pony tail holders) Scratch tickets, candles, drill bits, screw drivers... the list goes on.. if it will fit they go into the stocking...

And we do stockings here for the adults each year...

our stockings were always filled (and still get filled! yes, at my grandparents house EVERYONE still gets one big christmas morning gift and their stockings filled!!) with the 5ct packs of gum of favorite flavor (mine was Big Red), a CD or movie that had been asked for, lottery tickets, favorite candy, small jewelry pieces for the females, manly stuff for the males, gift cards, etc!

I called my mom asking what all to put in my brother's (they are like peas in a pod) and she said it used to be a BIG treat to get fresh fruit a long long time ago. I did think it was odd, but it's always been my most looked forward to treat for Christmas. I guess because I thought it was something unique my family did. :24: Oops!

My parents used to put tangerines in ours, too! Along with chocolate coins, those lifesavers christmas story books, nail polish, candy canes, little knick knacks like yo-yo's, whistles, costume jewelery, stickers.

I always put chocolate candies, candy canes, gift cards, and the like in other's Christmas Stockings.

I remember getting Christmas socks rolled up, assorted candy, money, jewelry, camera, etc. in my Christmas Stockings over the years.

I normally just put some small race cars in there for the boys with some treats. I still have to go buy new ones before Christmas this year seeings how they got destroyed, with a bunch of other things, in flooding. I keep forgetting to get them. UGH I have a terrible memory for things like that!
