Can toothpaste make your teeth whiter the way the ads claim?

To find out, Consumer Reports tested 41 brands of toothpaste. What the magazine found is there is no correlation between those claims and stain-removing ability.

In fact, CR said even the seven brands with peroxide, which is what whitening strips and professionals use, lightened or bleached out stains no better overall than other toothpastes

Toothpaste is all the same really.

As long as it is slightly abrasive you can use anything to clean your teeth.

I buy one of the cheapest on the market and have only needed to see the dentist once in the last 14 years for a small filling.

Brush properly for at least 4 minutes twice a day and you'll have not problems in my book!
