Really?

How out of touch does one have to be before they're considered complete buffoons?

Amid all the financial crisis in the world, specifically HERE in the US, Mr. Obama had a benefit dinner last night. I wanted to go but I didn't have the $30K a fricking plate Senor Asshat was charging for said benefit.

:yuk

Have you seen how much the Republican fund raisers charge per plate? More like $1000 and up. Come on you can spend $30 for a regular dinner. That was a bargain to meet the future President.

-cough-

It was 30K.

Like $28500 per plate.

Let me pull that out of my asspipe here.....

I'm not totting the Republican bandwagon either mind you. I think based on pure values I'm more of a republican but candidly, both these asshats make me throw up a lil.

Allow me to pick my jaw up off the ground. :o That little k snuck by me. Who the heck was there? Must of been all of the rich liberals... I'll have to wait for all the conservative hypocrites to chime in on this one. :D (not implying all conservatives are hypocrites, just some of them in this forum. ;))

Oh yeah and this just in.....Barack The Rock Obama made...wait for it....

90 FRICKIN MILLION LAST NIGHT.

Just as I thought- Plenty to bail out ole Fannie Mae.

And their justification - Well McCain is running a tax payer funded campaign.

Yeah, and he'll have to account for every dime of it.

I see a trip to Puerto Rico or The Virgin Islands in his future.

:mad

unbelievable
what a bunch of losers that would donate that kind of money
but that is the rich hollywood elite. they should stick to making movies. anytime one of them opens their yap it makes me ill. and that goes for either side.

it all makes me want to puke and shit at the same time :yuk

Well aren't the Republicans for the "rich" guy--so what if they run a fund raiser. Obama and the Democrats pretend to have the little guy's interest at heart--so its hypocritical--why aren't they using this money to help the poor!

You have to pay the piper to get into power to really make a difference. This is the same as your arguments for paying millions to CEO's. You have to pay large sums of money to get the right person into power

no it is not right

i am one who for govt funded campaigns.

each person gets in finite amount of money

there is too much money in politics.

I'm with you on this one. It is a shame the amount of money that flows from our (donations) pockets to the media pockets. I mean if you boil it down, that's all we are doing. Fuck it, cut off all their spending and give ALL parties equal air time. Then the government can give them just enough to tour the country.

I heard on the tele that Canada limits the amount of money Presidential candidates can spend to a total of $20 million each. And that the U.S. candidates last week spent $15 million on tv ads.

Maybe we should give that a try?
