CBS Superbowl Coverage Rant

Ok so I am super stoked the Saints won, and nothing can take that away from me.

BUT the announcer was a fucking idiot.

1 - Learn how to pronounce New Orleans. The Saints are at the superbowl for the first and probably only time in the history of football - can we hire some one who knows how to pronounce new orleans? or at least have a mini lesson?

2 - St. Charles and Tchoupitoulas are in the French Quarter.


3 - Mardi Gras is one day, but yes the celebration has already started, but not because the Saints won.

OH AND - wtf? the commercials SUCKED, and why would they still show the panel talking as plays started. Several times the ball was already in play by the time they went to the field!

Yeah, the on side kick was a surprise.
That did indeed take chrome plated balls.

I would agree the onside kick call was a total show of guts and determination. The 2-point conversion, however, was a no-brainer. Any coach at any level SHOULD make that call in that situation. They were down by 5. A1-point kick would have been meaningless, because a Colts TD beats you anyway. The 2-pt was the ONLY option in that situation. To do anything else would have idiotic.
