If you comment badly on a venue it's your opinion and you're welcome to it. If I hear a lot of people talk bad about a movie I usually don't end up watching it. Like I was hyped for the GI Joe movie only to be disappointed when I watched it.I observe the people at the movies... and in my own living room during a movie. I definitely won't be starting a thread about that though. Could be painful..... along with enjoyable and entertaining and informative.... and most likely would head for the underground.
..... but yeah..... observations on movies is okay.... it's just I wonder if my opinion would sway one from partaking of a particular venue should I comment badly.... or vice versa.... *shrugs*
I was surprised I went on a date a few years back I usually hate Will Ferrell movies. But laughed my ass off @ Blades Of Glory. On the other hand was sadly disapointed when I saw Eternal Sunshine Of a Spotless Mind. I thought I had to be on acid when I watched that film.I don't let others opinions sway me from seeing a movie that I think might be worthwhile from watching the trailers.
That being said.... I've sat through some real stinkers.
.... but I did enjoy many others.
So.... I'll be my own critic.... Seems to work out just about 30/70. 30 being the ones I actually enjoyed even though others said the movies would suck.
book adaptations should stay with the book and not go off on tangeantsjust to make the movie atleast an hour and 30 minutes.
Stay away from a childrens book if it takes more than 30 minutes to adapt... why do you think Dr. Seuss was made into 15-30 minutes cartoon specials? The book is 1626 words long. What do you expect them to do?
