Out on DVD on boxing day, really looking forward to seeing this. About Cass Pennant, the ICF (West Ham hooligan) leader. Not just about the hooligan stuff though but how he led it while the media likes to think West Ham are racists, couldn't be further from the truth, ICF ran the NF out of EastEnd while most hooligans were getting chummy with them. He became a good friend of former HW boxing Champion Frank Bruno after saving him from a mugging and also survived a shooting. Hope at least its better than that Green Street shit.

Here's the trailer

I've always been kind of torn about hooliganism. It obviously goes too far at times, but there's a lot of history behind football, and it's kind of impressive to see people that passionate about the rivalries.

EDIT: Thanks for the links, Pete

Not a real big fan of violence but hooliganism is a kind of tribal thing. Admittedly there are innocents who are hurt but when two groups who both want a fight (including the police) have it, it isn't as bad as when someone overpowers a peaceful person. I've been involved with some of it and its a great power trip when I've hit people asking for it and the police standing a couple of yards away are too scared to try and arrest you. Worst stuff I've seen is from the police in these situations anyway. I've witnessed a huge off which was started by the police and ended up with a pregnant girl losing her unborn baby. None of the West Ham supporters arrested that day ended up getting charged with anything and neither did any of the coppers beating an unborn baby to death. It goes very deep, feelings are high and its far from black and white.
