I HATE that ugly stupid tard known as Carlos Mencia. he is NOT funny, he is a hack. He is just fat, stupid, and cliche. His name isn't even really Carlos Mencia, its Ned Arnel Mencia. He isn't a "beaner" or a "wetback", he isn't mexican. He is born in Honduras for christ's sake. He markets his show as "edgy and politically incorrect" but all I see him do is spew unoriginal bullshit. Any of his jokes are just common cliche racist humor. I'm not against race humor, but he fails at it on so many levels. Even his jokes aren't all that bad, but he is. Even if someone like Chappelle was telling his jokes I could promise you that it would be funny, but Carlos is just a fatty who looks stupid and is horrible at telling jokes. The only time I've ever laughed at his show is times when he has other people preforming a sketch and Carlos isn't involved. What I hate most about him is how he pretends that he's actually offensive...and after any "edgy" joke he tells he throws up his arms and is like "whaaaat? Whaaaat?" as if to say "hey man, take a joke lol!" fuck you Ned Mencia, you aren't offensive, you aren't funny, you aren't original, you are a hack.

Its amazing that tard has managed to get his own show.

I get a pretty good laugh outta his show actually, though I see your point. Afterall though, what is acting, or being a comic, about other than pretending to be something your not?

Funny, I can think of plenty of great comics who don't pretend to be something they're not. Pretending to be something he isn't wouldn't even be so annoying, its just that he's a total hack.

His mother is Mexican. So he's half Mexican but I'm guessing he identifies with that side. My grandmother spoke only Spanish until she was 16, has Cuban parents, and considers herself Cuban-American. She was born in Florida. Her mother was too (I don't know about her father). Does that mean she's not Cuban? Since she married Irish/Native American, is my father not part Cuban? I'm confused. How do you define being Mexican or American or whatever? Being born there? Have both parents from there? Grandparents from there? What's the criteria? I'm truly curious.

I personally find him funny. The times I've watched his show, I've laughed quite a bit.

I don't watch him that much, But I always found him funny..

Ahh but lest we forget, you apparently only find your humor out of of the misery of others. So you really would not find humor in something that is ACTUALLY meant to be laughed at.

First of all, anyone can get a show with the right persuasion methods. That and an assload of money. Secondly, if you hate him so much, then why waste the time to even comment on him? And lastly, if you wanna start pointing out the flaws in people, I can think of a few grammatical and punctuality mistakes you made.

So my Nana is just an American? I believe that what culture or ethnic group you identify with is what you should be consider (if you actually come from that background, like he does). Nana eats Cuban food, speaks the Cuban dialect of Spanish, and has that mentality. But according to you, she's not Cuban because she wasn't born there. I don't understand that.

And that tone wasn't necessary. I was asking an honest question.

So basically under your idealogy someone's descent doesn't play a role in their heritage? I guess I'm not 1/2 Swedish or 1/2 German because I was born in America?

You make no sense.

Go headbutt a chainsaw. I never said nobody should ever complain, read my post again. I said if you're going to point out the mistakes in other people, take a minute to look at yours as well. And you know what, I hope you die too

actually, I think you're wrong here. If your parent move to America and you are born in America, you're born an American. Even if you still have Swedish and German blood and still hold on to your past cultures, it doesn't matter anymore. After all, what makes you Swedish or German? Simple having ancestors who were born there, those ancestors could very well have moved to Sweden or Germany some time ago also, so you probably are no more German and American than you are American, the deciding factor is where you are born.

Sure, you would be a citizen of America. But you can't just cut off any cultural aspects. I have a friend who was born in Vietnam and moved here when he was six. If he marries a Vietnamese (as in born in Vietnam) woman and they have kids, they aren't the least bit Vietnamese? I don't buy that. Now, after a couple of generations, if they start to loose the Vietnamese culture, then I think you have a case.

Just having the culture of a place doesn't mean you're of that nationality though. I mean, I know plenty of white kids who act black and ghetto and they're sure as hell not from Africa.

Although you have a point Lolercause, that's not what we are all saying. If a member of that family is BORN in Vietnam or Mexico, then they have children in the US, then what, the kids aren't the least bit Vietnamese or Mexican? Their roots sure as hell are. People need to stop arguing about nationality, because if you think about it, we're all Mexican, African, all that good shit. Our ancestors all came from the same continent, millions of years ago. It's just a matter of where we live and how long we've lived there.
