A heck of a lot of these come running when you throw a bit of feed their way.

Took too many of this wee thing.

They don't care whose feet they tread on.

A view of Gibsons harbour.

Attempting semi artistic shots whilst tipsy doesn't work. This was new years eve.

Dakota Ridge stream - heck, I thought it seemed pretty enough.

I'd never seen anything like this, taxi service for your baby whilst cross country skiing.

I think I took this as I was amused at the time by the play on words.

My hostess wanted a picture of 'penis sushi' as she put it, so I obliged.

It was a good trek to actually get to the narrows with some interesting forest terrain.

You find all sorts of things in the forest.

Getting closer to the rapids.

Here we are. One of the fastest tidal rapids in the world. Not too fast at the time we visited though.

The colour almost made it look kinda... bloody.

Nothing special but this and some steps similar a bit away were so far into the forest - could only have hauled them in by hand to build em. Quite a trek. Around an hour or so in.

I like those. :thumbup The seagull pic is my favourite. :D

Thanks Zirc - I took loads but it's the not so common type of shots that I love to try to get ;)

that truck in the forest.....i simply love it

It looks atmospheric in the pic - very quiet area of course and it was certainly atmospheric to see it there in the flesh so to speak.

I took just one more shot of that but imho, it looked better from the front as a pic. Perhaps I should have photchopped the fence thingy out ;)

Better late than never Siph and a nice series to boot. If I had to pick a favorite I would have to go with the first truck shot. I like it a lot. :thumbup

I hate to correct you but I must. Those birds you thought were geese.... nope... they are mallard ducks. The hens are quite brownish and the drakes are the colorful ones. Amazing what a fist full of seed will do. :D

The wee thing is a young herring gull. As it matures it will change to it's beautiful white color from that ugly brown stuff.

Edit: Ok I could of sworn you said geese somewhere but I went back to re-read all your notes and I don't see the word anymore. Sorry about that.. I'm so tired I could drop dead at my desk.

Um......... knowing him I doubt it. He's much to serious.... besides his thread doesn't show it as being edited.

Now get this.... when I went back to look at his pics the ducks mouth opened and closed real fast. I thought he turned it into an animated gif or something so I watched it for a while and it didn't do nuthin'. :24: I've been up since 2:30AM hacking and weezin' and that's why I'm starting to see pink elephants I think.

Yes Siph, it is amazing what you can find it the woods and even more so at the bottom of lakes and ravens.. :willy_nilly:

I try to teach my kids to respect nature and the environment.

Although we have had some man made things, ships sunk, planes and such, for activities such as scuba diving..

Other shots were nice as well.. Glad you enjoyed your trip here.. ;)
