Can Christians bring on the end times?

There is still debate as to the reality of archetypal Jesus.
There are many versions.
Revelation says that at the end of days, we would basically have a number of Jesus’ to chose from and that the elect would be chosen by the one they choose.
If you would count the number Jesus sects, you might agree that it looks like we are there right now, so the question of his reality is now redundant. I do not ask you this with disrespect but to make a point.
How many wives in your sect if you follow Jesus?

He also said that we would not recognize him.
If you asked the real Jesus to stand up, and he did, we could only know him by his philosophy.
Jesus is dead. Long live Jesus.
Philosophy is the Holy Spirit that lives in Jesus, the Man God.
This spirit can only be expressed by a man.
Our first God was a man and our last God shall be as well.
If Jesus cults, from the Vatican on down, would get on with it, Jesus could be here whenever they choose and then the power of God would be Here on earth.
It is said that both Canada and the U S are Christian nations.
I am a Religionist and follow a Godhead that is philosophically superior to Jesus.
Believing this allows me to critique Jesus and his followers.
Just as they critique other Religionists.
What in Hell are you waiting for Jesus followers?
Elect yourselves a Jesus.
As Jesus said, the time of the end is at hand.

Answered like a true Christian.

Thanks for showing your logic trail.

LMAO! I love internet people! :24:

Were I to disengage myself from my thoughts on such a matter and indulge such a "scholarly pursuit" as this, I should hope that anyone with but a modicum of purpose in his or her life should read even the most tactful and referenced response I could create as but a tale told by an idiot, "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." Because pontificating the derivatives of plausibility of a two thousand year old, metaphorical text... and then levying sanction upon those who refuse to play to a desired level of satisfaction.....

I am reminded of the mujahadeen of the East that infect Islam like cancer... I've no more taste for their rants on why I'm not a Muslim anymore than I've but a scathing disregard for those who walk that line in Christianity...

As such, based on the enumeration of my education and experience, I responded to your thread in a manner befitting the topic. :)

I don't think Christians will bring about end of days, I think humanity will as a whole. .But not in the biblical sense, in the real world sense of blowing ourselves up, or poisoning our environment to the point of it killing us.

Thought can take on a reality of its own, and there is a paradigm around apocalpyse that has done so in the collective subconscious, not just of Christians. So, in a sense, there might be the chance of some self-fulfilling prophecy, a strange hybrid of apocalyptic Biblical lore, 2012 predictions, and the like. But I think it more likely that such things will only take such a life in the minds of those actively seeking it.

Hahaha, funny post.
The end of our life as we know it will come as it always has for the inhabitants of Mother Earth.
Mostly we will die of old age or sickness but eventually our civilization will be erased by the natural processes of the universe.
Don't be so fucking narcissistic, nothing you do will ever change a thing.

You don't think humans are capable of getting so worked up over nothing that they cause their own demise? I mean, humans try to deny it, but they are a part of the natural processes you tell of. At least, for now they are.

The universe doesn't give a fuck about humans or our simplistic thought processes.
The entire human existance is no more than a grain of sand on the beach of eternity.
Live your life like you die tomorrow because it's a mere blink of the eye from the cradle to the grave.
Nothing man can ever build, conquer or conjur up will ever change that.

Am I at this point to start singing "Dust in the Wind"?

That's not the question in this thread. The question is, can Christians bring on the end times? Whether the universe remembers humans is really irrelevant to that. Honestly, the question as to whether humans can herald their own destruction is really somewhat elementary; a grade schooler could tell us the answer to that is yes.

If you are basing the concept of "end times" on scripture, why worry? It's religious mumbo-jumbo. :)

Why worry.

I do not worry about it.

I do recognize that the world would be more progressive under one leader be he a secular leader or a religious one.

Man should have one good philosophy to live by. Not the dozens that presently clash.

True but Revelation is a promise of rebirth, not of death.

When any nation elects a new representative, is it to kill the population or improve it?
