I’ve been reading about bed rotting, where people stay in bed to escape stress. Short-term rest feels safe, but research says long periods of inactivity can worsen mood, focus, and energy. Has anyone noticed this in themselves? How do you prevent passive isolation from taking over?

Bed rotting can certainly harm your mental health. Exposure to low quality online content and lying lazily on bed are detrimental to your mental, emotional, and also physical health.

Yes, “bed rotting” staying in bed for long periods without activity can harm mental health. It can increase feelings of isolation, lower motivation, disrupt sleep patterns, and worsen anxiety or depression. Balance rest with movement and social interaction.
