Here is a list of all the ailments that California says they will treat with Medical Marijuana. Is this crazy or is it just me?!?!?

http://www.marijuanamedicine.com/all-ailments.html

Do you agree with this and that they should be dispensing Medical Marijuana for ALL of these ailments? Especially when for a lot of them they make prescription medication for.

I imagine all of those conditions carry with them varying degrees of discomfort. So, unequivocally, yes. An option I prefer to loading them up with conventional painkillers.

Prescription medicine causes more damage and is far more expensive than marijuana. California has it right, and come next month it may become legal for recreational use

Tobacco use? C'mon? You need marijuana so that you don't smoke tobacco? Hell i suffer from a lot of those ailments but I don't think that controlling them with marijuana is the answer. It's still a drug that's not legal in the country to buy on the streets. They might as well legalize it dex cuz they're giving it away like candy right now.

Are you guys actually allowed to drive under the influence of medical marijuana which is a hell of a lot more potent than street marijuana? I know that I'm not supposed to drive cuz of medications I take and I think the same rules should apply. If you want to get high then you should be losing some of the things that will keep the general public safe.

That list is insane!!!

Marijuana for Herpes, nightmares, tension headaches, emphysema, psoriasis, obesity, cough, diarrhea just to name a few is flipping crazy! It contributes to emphysema, obesity and cough! And diarrhea? Take some over the counter medication. Or is that medication not safe either? WTF?

Why not? Medicinal knowledge and experience in these areas is incredibly low when it comes to marijuana effectiveness. This is our chance to learn.

And you should re-read the culpable line you and Wyndex are talking about, ignore the punctuation.

So you're using marijuana as an experimental drug?

Just because I used the word actually? I thought the rule of thumb was to pay attention to punctuation. Period.....

no that is not the rule of thumb. using the word actually made your sentence an implication. in other words, you were implying that we are Actually allowed to drive under the influence, which is not true

I don't much care for such sensationalism. But in a broad sense, yes. Clinical trials are only good up to a point, as any medicinal researcher or developer would agree.

You thought the rule of thumb was to place higher importance on punctuation over the actual words?
I think you've smoked enough already :jk

Dex put down the joint and stop arguing over a word and sentence structure. We're talking about using medical marijuana for ailments that are absolutely insane to use it for. Why don't you read my posts instead of picking at a sentence.

The only negative point I addressed. Just because the rest of the United States is against the distribution and use of marijuana I'm not going to apologize for it

I'm not asking you to apologize for it. I'm asking if you really think that medical marijuana should be used for some of those things that I have listed. Like diarrhea, emphysema, cough, obesity etc. etc...

I think marijuana should be legalized. Medical marijuana is just a title. Dispensaries are just glorified dealers.
Do I think that its a better medical use than other medicines, yes, for the fact that its natural and doesnt cause side effects that are potentially deadly. Overdosing isn't possible and its extremely cheap

You said it right there. The way the system is now it is being dispensed for unnecessary reasons by glorified drug dealers. It might as well be legalized and taxed there. So you don't agree that an anti-diarrhea medication is better than using marijuana? I've never heard of anyone dying from Imodium AD. Or from aspirin for a headache. I'm not saying that all of the ailments that are listed are wrong but there's sure as hell quite a few that are just insane to think that a nonprescription drug is the right way to go at this point in time. Like zorak said it would be experimental. There haven't been any studies that I can find where marijuana can cure diarrhea better than the over the counter medications.

The fact is our state is making strides to make it legal. Possession is only a misdemeanor here if you dont have a licence, and you can carry up to an oz. on you with your card if you get caught with any.

In other states, like Alabama, its a felony and you have to serve a minimum of 5 years in jail if caught with any.
Its one extreme or the other, and quite frankly I like CA's extreme. When it comes to ones health, yes I believe it helps with headaches, I believe it helps with arthritis, I believe it helps with anxiety and depression. Maybe even diarrhea, that I don't know. And as for quitting smoking tobacco, yes I believe that too, my roommate has told me first hand that it works, plus the euphoric feeling you get cant be beat.

Marijuana can be argued many different ways, and btw, dispensaries are taxed. It's legal weed and they keep records of all patient's records. It's not as hole in the wall as you make it
