I like how they had to say that it wasn't a terrorist act. Really? Are people that dumb. Shit like this doesn't have to have a connotation of terrorism.

In todays world, Dana, you never know. I'm sure that was posted to relieve people, not start an emotional riot.

Go ahead. Louisiana will step in and save the day with natural gas. ;) Cajuns don't like the Canadians anyways.

People that elect Moonbeam and support absurd environmental laws get what they deserve.

If I was religious I would classify this as payback is a bitch :D

No offense Goldie but the midwest had a far more severe black out that lasted a whole lot longer and was far more wide spread a few years ago.

It cost me a lot of money in electrical damage plus running a generator off and on for about 5 days.

But then unless something happens on the east or west coast nobody pays much attention it seems.

That was actually probably in there because there had just been a warning about a potential terror threat at around the same time.

FYI

55 million versus 6 million

how long will it take to restore all power to the west?

It took almost a week over here

The Northeast Blackout of 2003 was a widespread power outage that occurred throughout parts of the Northeastern and Midwestern United States and Ontario, Canada on Thursday, August 14, 2003, just before 4:10 p.m. EDT (UTC−04).[SUP][1][/SUP] At the time, it was the second most widespread blackout in history, after the 1999 Southern Brazil blackout.[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP] The blackout affected an estimated 10 million people in Ontario and 45 million people in eight U.S. states.

Almost six million people in Southern California, Arizona, and Mexico
