Herman Cain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are in a dead heat as the top choices for Iowans likely to attend the Jan. 3 Republican presidential caucuses.

A Bloomberg News poll shows Cain at 20 percent, Paul at 19 percent, Romney at 18 percent and Gingrich at 17 percent among the likely attendees with the caucuses that start the nominating contests seven weeks away.

I don't put much stock in Iowa. The do not seem to be the bellwether when it comes down to crunch time.

I think when all is said and done it will come down to Romney and Gingrich.

The others took their beating and have withered while Gingrich despite all the odds has slowly been climbing.

I don't know if Gingrich could beat Obama but he would sure give him something to compete with at debates.

You do realize that the GOP isn't running any valid candidates this year, right? They are waiting until 2016 when Obama completes his 2nd term to run someone like; Rubio, Christie or possibly Jeb Bush.

Mitt will get the nomination after this dog and pony show is over, it's his turn. The rest like Cain are doing nothing more that bumping up their prices for their speaking fees later and trying to walk away with as much cash as possible. Why else would someone like Santorum still be in it??? You do realize that if they do not get the nomination, they get to keep all of the money they raised, right?

Yeeeeeeah... I'd honestly rather have Obama get another 4 years it if came down to he and Bachmann, Romney, Perry, Cain, or Santorum. Well, let me qualify that... as long as the GOP keeps control of the House and gains control over the Senate. I hate having one party in complete power. Who knows, maybe if he was checked by a GOP majority in Congress, Obama could become another Clinton.
