please tell me how the rich are laughing at the poor when bush understands economics and the left simply does not.

the left wants immediate tax breaks now so that the left can pay its own taxes on its own and still have money to spare. the rich disproportionally fund the gov't, thus the rich deserves more say in the gov't.

giving a universal tax cut % does give the rich more money than the poor, but the rich run everything. giving the rich more money gives more money to reinvest- reinvest in health care policies, worker wages, r&d, and most importantly- growth. the rich having more money simply means growth of wealth, growth of companies, more hiring of the poor, thus lower unemployment and even better universal health care, then more growth... it is a cycle that has to start with the rich to get anywhere in a since of longevity. raeganomics is a very conservative free market economic strategy and is tried and true to beat any short term satisfaction the left can bring. i support bush.

In Theroy letting the Wealthy reinvest is wonderfull but that dosent mean that it happens. The only reason Companies have health care insurnce and benifits is because it's a law. Otherwise they wouldn't do it. Most Companies want to hire as mant flex shift workers they can. That way they dont have to give benefits. Not many companies are reinvesting in America. Tey are down sizeng and outsourcing to other countries that have cheap labor.

Wow, the rich re-investing. Lets take a look at the RICH oil companies. When is the last time exxon opened a new refinary? The CEO only makes a mere $17,000 /hour (plus benefits, of course)

they make a shit load of money, but even at a low R&D level %, the amount of R&D done by ExxonMobil is extremely large. Pointing out a handful of corporate companies does nothing. Check out the Fortune100 or Fortune 500 lists and research their level of R&D then come back to see that if even 4-8% R&D a low % of net earnings, that number is still so large that it is okay for them to do so.

Also, a free market has good apples and bad apples. Sure some people want to grow the business (the reason for proprietorship) but others may want to just make money. Those who just want the money do selfish acts to get the money and lifestyle they want as CEO, CFO, COO, and President/VP. Yet, the people in the market to build a business to make a name and pass on a legacy to their posterity do a lot of R&D to grow the business, even at ExxonMobil levels.

When I make it, I will be the good guy.

I am pointing out the oil companies because this thread is about Bush. We all know how bush favors the big oil companies. Keep pretending Bush is a good president and has done good things for this economy, but you are never going to convice me and the majority of the rest of the world.

Bush needs to go...

His "mightier than thou" attitude pisses me off. He feels that he is above the law and can do as he pleases. The constitution is nothing more than toilet paper to him..

http://www.offtopicz.net/specter-rips-into-cheney-vt6268.html

"I don't give a goddamn, I'm the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way."

"Mr. President," one aide in the meeting said. "There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution."

"Stop throwing the Constitution in my face," Bush screamed back. "It's just a goddamned piece of paper!"

The NSA has been logging phone calls since the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001. Listening in on coversations between forien nationals and americans. Now they are harvesting the information that people post about themselves on social networks. All without Judicial oversight. Isn't this the reason for the FISA court? To build a system of checks and balances? WTF, he can't just do as he pleases without working with congress. Hell, I don't want to or need to know whose phones they are listening in on, or who's information they aquire. I just want to know that there is over sight on what the hell he is doing.

I agree with you here, no law breaking/bending should be done at any level.

im not from america so i don't know much about his ability to govern, but he makes your entire country look like a joke as the media only ever picks up on retarded things that he does and his resemblance with chimps.

Am i right in thinking tho that over there there is a maximum of two terms? so i don't think its worth complaining about, he doesn't have very much time left and doesn't have anything important to do, he needs to work on his public image.

If there's any pressure on a world leader at the moment its Putin

Yeah, a couple more years- which is good. The thing is though, all politicians in America are drawn from the same pool, regardless of how they campaign. Hell, as kids Democrats and Republicans all went to school together.
