When I was in school I had a best friend that had to ride the short bus and we picked on him about it.
But when picked on each other about stuff we just laughed at each other and it was never intended to pick on anyone that that rode it.
My friend was ADHD and had a hard time learning. We all had our own short comings that we picked on each other about. Like me being short and had funny ears.
Now that I've been a father I do not make fun of short comings.

I think everyone changes as they get older. Its one think to joke with someone.. its another thing to tease someone to the point of them crying and wanting to kill themselves.

Personally I find short bus jokes horrible. It doesn't matter what disability a child has, they all deserve love, respect and compassion.
