Personally I see it as a big show with little result, but at least there is something right?

The payoff in budget savings would be small relative to the deficit: The estimated $250 billion in savings over 10 years would be less than 3 percent of the roughly $9 trillion in additional deficits the government is expected to accumulate over that time.

It's something alright.

Hey, Charlie! Where's that hundred bucks you owe me?

Here's something. I'll have to owe you the rest. You really should take better care of your finances.

I remember McCain proposed this during the election, and Obama thought it was a horrible idea, right? Or am I thinking of something else?

Its probably the only way to pull ourselves out of the massive structural deficit we're in IF its properly executed. Enacting it on <10% of the total budget is NOT proper execution....

I remember McCain proposing something like that during the first presidential debate. Although if I recall correctly, he was advocating a spending freeze on every governmental department, apart from the DOD.

No difference between that and going to MSNBC, CNN, or any other MSM site

You've been livig in Louisiana too long. It's okay to cross the tracks nowadays & see it for yourself.

I do go to CNN but not for actual news, just when I am bored and I want to see a story about a lady fining a huge snake under her house or something in Florida.

And are you kidding me? Louisiana is SOOO convservative right wing republican anti-Obama it's not even funny.
