I've never watched it. My neighbor was supposed to let me borrow it, but hasn't yet. He was not impressed in the least. LOL

It was on TV once, i flicked onto it and the 2 blokes were going at it against a wall.

I flicked away in horror. Half an hour later I flicked back and they were going at it again!

It was horrible.

I had the same reservations and you all did. I avoided the film on the movie channels probably for the same reasons you guys are. Yes, it is a tough subject, but it is in no way graphically depicting the act. They also kiss in a few scenes but that doesn't go on and on either. I don't regret watching it though. It's a well acted and touching story. Perhaps because I have gay family members, it had more resonance for me.

I adored this film. It was an achingly sad universal love story and a brilliant study in human relationships. This is NOT a gay love story!!! It told of feelings that dare not speak their name, and it did so with superb intelligence and absolute honesty. I feel sad that so much third grade sniggering surrounded this quiet, graceful masterpiece.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh you said it so much better than I did Grin. Achingly sad is the operative term. I don't watch it very often because it is heart wrenching. I'm overly sensitive, I know.

Thanks, Margy. And no, you are not overly sensitive. That film lingered in my mind for several days, and it will be a looooong time before I watch it again.
