Ok so to be totally honest with you i never saw it, not from fear of what i might see but it just didnt seem like a movie that interested me.
Yesterday it was on Showtime and i figured hey, this is supposed to be the best movie Heath Ledger made, i want to see what all the fuss was about.
I found that i actually enjoyed the movie to the point it had me crying throughout it.
A story Of love, not any love but a love that didnt see through appearences, or societies norm, but it saw two hearts become one.
If you havent seen it because you are concerned over what you have heard, please im begging you do yourself a favour and watch possibly one of the greatest love stories of this century.

Girl, I'm so glad that you posted this!! I absolutely LOVE this movie. And I agree with you in that it's possibly the absolute BEST love story EVER made. It's not the "gay cowboy" movie that everyone has portrayed it to be, but a touching love story. A story of "forbidden" love, and Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhal did an absolutely amazing job acting in this movie. I cried through this whole movie!

I really want to see this movie, a lot of people have said bad things, but it has Heath Ledger[RIP] who is one of my favourite actors. I am going to rent it when David takes me to the movie shop next haha =D He's weirdly obsessed with DVD's..

I kind of agree Charlie. I don't mind slow-moving movies, but I just found it hard to stay interested in the characters in this. Maybe I'm just not a big one for emotional movies, I don't know. Just didn't make a big impact on me.

That probably cause it was so slow moving. That was my biggest gripe

i dont know why but im really scared to watch the movie. i dont have problems with gay people at all, hell ive kissed my fair share of women before...but something about seeing two men do ANYTHING just makes my skin CRAWL. Maybe im not open minded i just couldnt watch it.
