Britney Spears is taking on the “false tabloids” one more time.
In a statement released through her record label, the expectant mother said she and husband Kevin Federline were “outraged and saddened” that photos of a recent family vacation to Miami were published by Us Weekly after they were stolen by an “unknown perpetrator.”
Though the photos “depict happy family vacation memories,” (as opposed to the usual shots of unkempt trips to the local convenience store), Spears and Federline were considering taking legal action against the magazine for publishing the pics without their permission, according to their statement. The alleged theft of the photos remained under investigation.
In response to Spears’ claims, Us Weekly issued a statement denying that the magazine had resorted to illegal means in order to obtain the photos.
