I haven't been watching the Winter Olympics too much, wondering if Aussies are any good at that stuff considering it doesn't snow much here..

It took Australia until 1998 to win a medal and since then the've done pretty well, got a gold and a silver already in this one. My favorite gold they won was in the speed skating a few years ago when they got through all their rounds and won gold because of everyone else crashing.:24:

Is she the one that might have the helmet that breaks the rules?

yeah there's controversy about the fin shape at the rear of her helmet... complaints were lodged but the helmet has been deemed acceptable.... seems highly suspect to me: the rules are very clear that the helmet must NOT contain any aerodynamic enhancements... which the fin clearly is...

Seems a stupid rule to me in general :D

Surely, all Helmets should be made of lead and square shaped to obey that law? :24:

I remember that! I thought it was freaking hilarious. Everyone else was sprawled on the ice and he just coasted across the finish line. :24:

Haha very funny :p I'm a crap swimmer, but last time I swam in a race was years ago, could be different now.
I think it's more to do with the waves here - even on a day when Bondi wasn't too bad I could still have got dunked and taken under if it wasn't for someone who kept lifting me up every time a massive wave came haha.

Well done Amy Williams. Glad the USA's dirty tactics backfired and they finished outside the medals looking like the twats and bad losers that they are. :thumbup
